To be eligible for enrolment in the virtual opportunity class, students must also be enrolled in an authorised NSW Government school which is classified as rural and remote. A list of authorised schools can be found here.
Students at schools with opportunity class provisions, or at schools within the drawing areas of existing opportunity class provisions, will not be eligible to apply.
Applications for Year 5 placement in the virtual opportunity class in 2024 have closed. No new applications can be accepted.

Students seeking enrolment in Year 5 are considered for entry on the basis of academic merit, which is determined by the students’ performance in the Opportunity Class Placement Test.
