e-Mentoring program
Aurora College’s e-Mentoring Program connects students in Years 7 to 12 with mentors from across New South Wales and beyond. The program provides students with personalised guidance, inspiration, and support as they explore their academic interests, learning goals, and future pathways.
How it works
Students are matched with mentors who best align with their interests and aspirations. Mentors include professionals from a variety of industries, university students, and NSW Department of Education staff.
Mentoring sessions are delivered online through scheduled video meetings, allowing students in rural and remote areas to access high-quality mentoring opportunities regardless of location.
Benefits for students
Through the e-Mentoring Program, students can:
- receive individualised career and study guidance
- gain insights into STEM and other professional pathways
- build confidence and communication skills
- strengthen motivation and wellbeing
- develop connections that support future education and employment goals
The e-Mentoring Program supports our High Potential and Gifted students by extending students’ intellectual and social-emotional potential through personalised mentoring, academic enrichment, and wellbeing support. Students are encouraged to think critically, explore future pathways, and build confidence in their personal growth.
Supporting equitable access
The e-Mentoring Program reflects Aurora College’s commitment to equitable learning opportunities for rural and remote students. By linking students with experienced mentors, the program helps bridge distance and opens access to diverse experiences, perspectives, and expertise.
