Young and Deadly Mob enrolment information

The Young and Deadly Mob program is a provision for high potential and gifted Aboriginal students in rural, regional or remote NSW Public Schools. The program supports students from Yr 5 to Yr 10.  Please view our events page to see some of the livestream information sessions we are hosting this year.

Year 5 entry

• Applications open 20 July, 2026 and close 17 August, 2026.
• A full application requires a completed online school and parent/carer/family survey, and a 2-3 video online submission from the potential student.
• Outcome decisions will be made by 11 September, 2026.

Year 8, Year 9, and Year 10 entry

• Applications open 17 June, 2026 and close 24 July, 2026.

• A full application includes:

  • Application form

  • 1 - 3 minute student video about why they would like to be involved in the Young and Deadly Mob program (either attached to email, or link in email)

  • As well as any 3 of the 4 items below

    • Copies of last two school reports
    • Most recent NAPLAN results
    • Letter of support (e.g. from student, family, school, AECG or community organisation).
    • Any other supporting documents or certificates
